Nope I haven't actually, not got a spare or a way to test short of putting it in my good rig. LEDs all come on the board ok, just wont reset/shutodwn/start without powering down via the PSU...weird!

I've also 1 bitcoin with this as well due to harddrive swaps/etc

    Ok, NOW I'm 'annoyed' ...

Tried the 5830s in my main rig, one failed to POST so thats a good start! Now when I putmy 5850 back in my main rig I get

"Bootmgr is missing. Press CTRL ALT DEL to restart"

when you swapped things around it may have detected a change in configuration and forced the bios to reset. Go into it and check your boot up drive priority.

checked all that, had to run the win7 startup repair a few times.

Time to RMA the card, although I'm pretty sure I swapped the cards several times during testing, also the mobo is still dead as I was even failing to boot with no card installed

That killed the board? Not sure, I've put faulty cards in PCs before with no trouble (?)

RMA started with Aria, should be fun!

Assuming its an XFX card they've been flogging recently, you should be good to go as I'm lead to believe they have a 'special' 7-day turn around deal with XFX.

for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.

Just a quick one have you tried booting up the rig with the motherboard external to the case?? I only ask because I just built a rig that did almost the sme as you booted twice then wouldnt play. It turned out to be shorting out on the case when I screwed it down.
