nForce 2 Question....
....
HAH..got you in here now :)
This is my third time of asking.....and I still cant sort it :(
How do you activate the MICROPHONE INPUT on an nForce 2 board on the BACK.
In the excellent nForce Drivers, I can activate Mic 2 (the front port) with a tick of the box...and it works..
but I CANT MAKE the rear one work...I dont even KNOW which one it is....
obviously there's 3 ports....front, rear and centre/bass..but when set to 2 speaker or headphone ONE SHOULD BE MIC INPUT.....
I need it for one reason....the Headphone output is there also...and MOST headphone and Mic combos have leads that are joined...and they WILL NOT REACH around the front AND the rear...without unsplicing them and spliiting the otherwise neat wiring.
Please...SOMEONE.....help.......
does anyone know how to do it....cos I cant make it work...and yet the FRONT ONE just....works with a tick of the box.
note..I have unmuted the Mic box below the level slider for it ;)

for me its the one on the left....
i have the Headphones in the middle and the lead in on the right...

If it's Abit NF7-S board - "To use audio connector at rear disconnect extension cable and put jumpers back to pins 5-6 and 9-10" (On FP102 header - next to CD audio connector)
Hope this helps

Don't know what mobo you've got so this is probably isn't any help to you at all but on an nf7-s :
Green : Audio Out / Front Out
Blue : Line In
Pink : Mic
Orange : Rear Out
Black : Sub/Centre Out
Thats pretty much the standard but i've seen the orange and black reversed before.
