    Memory Recommendations

    Hi All

I'm looking at upgrading the memory in my desktop. Need to start running more VMs on my machine for exams and practice and 6GB isn't really cutting it anymore.

Now i know that memory speed isnt really an issue on the current sandybridge processors/chipsets but how about the X58? Is there a massive benefit to getting matched pairs (seeing as 3 x 4GB modules are much cheaper than just buying 1 3 x 4gb set).

    Any recommendations welcome!

    Re: Memory Recommendations

My advise is go for cheapest branded memory you can find, unless you plan on large overclocks.
