just the yellows an odd one m8, have you inspected the ink line ? any sign of air bubbles in there, maybe a pressure issue from a leaking yellow air bag inside the cartridge?
if you have swapped the ink and the capping units not damaged it could be the damper but they are normally really good in the 880 series, cheap fix either way.
if it clogs between prints i usually go for a maintenance kit before ripping the head out as its a common fault with random print issues. also cheap and very easy to fit as it comes with instructions
i will pm you a phone number to try.

Gonzo,
I would like to ask you some suggestions on what maybe wrong on epson 11880 - just bought it second hand few days ago, and have some issues with pressure pumps constantly spinning and patches on nozzle checks - Cyan and Magenta, after many cleaning cycles no improvement at all ...
Not sure how to send pm here
you cant send a pm until you have a few more posts.
sounds like you have an air leak, it could be from bad ink cartridges, that would be the 1st thing to check.
have you tried new cyan and magentas ?
i forgot about this thread, ginger, did you sort it ?
