My Aopen SFF, which has been wailing its arse off for days now from the Mobo speaker....
has just fallen silent.
I have reflashed to a newer Bios....no joy..back to an older one...no joy...back to the latest one....no joy.
So I decided to set BIOS up anyway, with a bit of tape over the speakers and headphones on my ears (I'm not kidding....not 1 bit)
and after 10 minutes of adjusting stuff in BIOS (without a reboot) it has fallen silent.
So the question is this: Which of the following has sorted the situation?
Activating Cache System BIOS and Cache Video BIOS....cos it fell silent 10 seconds after I did that
Disactivating C1 disconnect.....cos I dont know what it does but it fell silent 3 seconds after I did that.
Or just letting it wail its arse off for longer than 5 minutes without a reboot...
For the record...I have just reveresed those things, ie Disactivated the caching and reactivated the C1 and rebooted and its still silent.
How spooky is that? I should be happy....but as I dont know WHY its working all of a sudden....I dont know what too think.
What do YOU think?
