    Another XP-M thread...

    I have had a quick search but found tons of threads, but none really gave me a definate answer..

    What voltage are the XP-M 2500's from CPUcity? Are they the 1.45v ones? Out of all their XP-M cpu's, thats the only one that doesn't have the voltage in the description!

    Also how many of you have tried the XP-M 2400? There's a £1 difference between the 2500 and the 2400, so not sure which one to go for?!

    thanks

    AXMH2500FQQ4C = 1.45V
    CPU City have never touched the 1.65V DTR Mobiles.

    The 2400 is 1.35V - I would be tempted to try that.

    Yeah, you'd get similar overclocks from the 2400+ at slightly lower voltages which would mean slightly lower temps.

    The 2400 is the best all rounder imo, building a mates system with one atm, very similar overclocks but at a lower voltage meaning less cooling meaning less noise from the cooler which is always nice

    Even if its not a barton (can't confirm atm as the cpu's round the guys house) i'd rather have a lower voltage tbred as imo the extra cache of the barton ain't worth it

    After browsing around some more, I do believe it is the 512K cache Barton one, that CPUcity are selling. As thats also the one that seems to get mentioned on various other sites and forums.

    Well I have ordered 2400 anyway, so we'll soon find out Thanks for all the replies!

    Incase anyone is interested, I recieved and installed my xp-m 2400 today.

    It does have 512kb L2 Cahce... There must have been two versions out I assume, tbred and barton... (?)

    System picks it up as a K7 processor (as opposed to picking my 2500+ barton as a barton)

    Currently got it at 11x166 (1800 MHz) 1.4v and its only 35 degrees! (Bearing in mind case temp is also 35! and its damn hot in my room at the mo!)

    So, so far I'm happy Gonna play some more later!
