Setting up a PCI raid is prettymuch the same, just make sure u set your boot sequence to something like floppy>CD rom>scsi so it sees your raid card as the boot divice & not IDE0

Normally when you raid drives they are identical. Same read/write speed etc. But it 'might' work or it may not.
In the BOIS, probably in advanced options, set you can set the boot device/sequence. Should give you many options. Also have a floppy with the relevant drivers on handy as it's essential to load these at the right time whilst installing windows.

the bios probably wont have an option to boot from raid - mine doesnt. I just disable all boot options in the bios and my raid controller kicks in automatically. I'm using an onboard solution tho so not sure if its the same

Bios normally sees the raid as SCSI 0 as opposed to IDE 0. But whatever works

There was recently a thread on this according to tests done

Personally I have Raid0 while knowing full well that it is not that useful for me at the moment, but hey I gotta have nice new technology if nothing else to know how to use the technology when it comes to working with it and for bragging rights. You really need to know what you need Raid for to need it if that makes any sense. For gaming the benefits are spurious to say the least.
