    Intel Overclocking Utility

    i saw this on overclockers.com :- http://www.intel.com/design/motherbd.../dcc/index.htm

on the fly overclocking, from intel !!! let's hope they follow through with this, being able reduce cpu speed and fan speed while doing ofice work and then increase the performance for when you need it, v.nice, and from intel !!! by making this they are certainly showing a greater acceptance of overclocking (at least in public), lets hope it continues !

Yeah... I saw that in another forum. Look at them! Intel is trying to use every word under the sun to avoid using the word "overclock"!! How humiliating!!

From the look of it, it looks like it will only work with Intel's own i865/i875 mobos... However, I'm confident that someone will have the talent to hack it and make work with any mobos using these chipsets.

hlol, i did notice the lack of the word overclock still are there already utilities like this for 3rd party boards ? if there aren't, i'm sure they'll soon all have their own versions !

anway, it's a step in the right direction by intel, maybe one day they'll utter the dreaded 'o' word!

Fat chance buddy!! If Intel unlock the multiplier, it immediately looses its golden rice bowl!

Its locked at chip level, and not chipset level.
