I'm was hoping somebody could explain to me what the timings mean on RAM. Is it more desireable to have a higher MHz number (ie- 466 MHz) or tighter (lower?) timings? Thanks for any and all help.

the million dollar question! it all depends on the situation, what cpu and chipset are you using, how many mhz trade-off will you have to make for the tighter timings etc.
if you've got a specific set up in mind then prehaps we can answer for that specific situation, but it's impossible to make a blanket judgement like that.
Ok, would it be possible to get a bit of an education on the pros and cons of tighter timings vs higher MHz, let me make an educated choice myself. Thanks
