I'm was hoping somebody could explain to me what the timings mean on RAM. Is it more desireable to have a higher MHz number (ie- 466 MHz) or tighter (lower?) timings? Thanks for any and all help.![]()

the million dollar question! it all depends on the situation, what cpu and chipset are you using, how many mhz trade-off will you have to make for the tighter timings etc.
if you've got a specific set up in mind then prehaps we can answer for that specific situation, but it's impossible to make a blanket judgement like that.
Ok, would it be possible to get a bit of an education on the pros and cons of tighter timings vs higher MHz, let me make an educated choice myself. Thanks
