Does anyone else find the backlighting on the keys with multiple symbols is poor. Specificly the number keys, ! is illuminated fine while the 1 is much duller, its not as bad on the number pad because the main key function is lit properly while the subfunction is duller.

It's a pretty niggly niggle, but you're absolutely correct.

This is a LED-lit Cherry MX switch:

Note that the light isn't in the middle of the key, it's right near the top. So, as a result, keys with lots of symbols get less light emitted through whichever symbols are not near the top (e.g. the non-texturized number keys)

You'll note the keys are etched with a top-bias on most backlit mechanical keyboards, because of this quirk in the switch design (as compared to non-mechanical keyboards)

    Re: Corsair Vengeance K70

Mine arrived fine as well and at a total cost of £96 so not bad. Using my own custom WASD and escape keys because the textured keys that come with it are a bit of a pain when typing. They are really good for gaming though. Also has my Filco leather wrist wrest as well which is way way nicer than the stock one that comes with it.

Just another point the lighting for the symbols is much better on this than the keyboard I had before which was a CM Storm Trigger and is also better than my Logitech G11 and G510 so I think you are just being overly fussy; if you don't like it don't get a backlight.

Yeah its really nice, not cheap though. It is real leather with a memory foam filling its unbelievably comfortable. I have since centered it because having it offset was irritating my OCD
