Yep and am very happy. Photo mode is much better than my old printer, printer is quiet and fast. A note on install, the method I used was install software from cd, then plug in printer so windows detects it. Currently have in printing over my network with plain A4 in the top feeder and 6x4 photo paper in the tray. Just tell it which to use when you print. Havent tried cd yet.

Am currently trying some different papers, 7dayshop have some 6x4 canon stuff buy one get one free. Want to ge a selection of papers to get the best one at a reasonable price. Looked at some kodak stuff in pcworld 6x4 was £25 for 50 sheets. I went for some cheaper stuff But will raid 7dayshop when I get paid.

    Sounds good .

Thinking of the two print trays I was wondering was it possible to say put photo paper in the cassette and plain in the other and then tell it to print pages 1-3 on plain paper and 4-6 on photo etc etc? I will be doing a big print job (thesis) over the weekend and that might come in useful if it were possible.

Got it today. Very nice indeed. Looks pretty good too although by the time youve got all the paper trays out it looks a bit like a hedgehog (still much better than the i865).

Prints are very impressive and very borderless . Double paper trays are very useful. Its v quite too at least in comparison to my screaming HPs .

If you find any good paper for photo prints leave a post. Just trying fujufilm 6x4 high quality glossy. And some cheap PC line 7x5 glossy photo. Will have a look at 7dayshop tomorrow and see what they have in the same sizes.
A lot of people recommend ilford galerie as a good choice as they provide info on printer setup. This mob

Thanks will check out that Ilford stuff. I havent really used much high quaility inkjet papers before now because I didnt have a good enough printer . The demo Canon paper that came with the printer is nice but probably damn expensive .

I just brought a load of cheap Xerox 180g/m2 "Photo Paper High Gloss" (from Argos) for printing the photos in my thesis. It seems quite nice considering it is only e15 for 50 sheets. It is a bit fragile and probably doesnt last long but for cheap prints its good.

Yeah it is damn quiet, even more so if you set it to quiet mode
