Extreme Rack Modding

I've just spend half the afternoon modding a full size 42U high rack server with no shelves or anything apart from an outside frame to take shelves and brackets from another rack server to allow my companies development environment from 2 rooms to 3....

Damn i've enjoyed myself, and it looks pretty decent. The guys who are going to be using the rack are over the moon, the fact that they don't have to use there crap setup and can finally get some nice stable environment for development.

It will be cabled in tomorrow along with their current dev kit being moved into proper 4U high rack kits to fit in the new custom made shelving...

If i get chance tomorrow i'll put some pictures up

not bad :-) you should have seen how we managed to fit a 50" wide cabinet through a 40" wide door for out server room/toilet
