    OC'ing the 64 3000+ how far can i push without PCI/AGP locks

Im thinking of overclocking my 64 3000+ and have heard from various sources that i can push it up to 2.5 ish on air with some tweaking in other places. But the question is, as the FSB is the only route to OC the 64's and i stupidly bought a mobo without PCI and AGP locks (i have the Abit KV8) how far am i likely to be able to push it before the AGP and PCI busses start getting their knickers in a twist?

not that far in all honesty. As soon as you increase the FSB the AGP will also increase so its mainly down to what speed your GFX card will be stable at.

FYI theres a guide on xbitlabs of the sempron 3100 - with an nforce motherboard you can hit 2.5 Ghz and blow away pentium 4's

The locks on my KV8Pro were bust when I first got it and the max I acheived was a rise from 200 to 215 fsb which is 7.5%. When I got the locks fixed I was able to reach 235.
So basically no locks just sucks.

basically the new revisions of the motherboards ( rev 2 ) all got PCI and AGP locks so you can lock their operating speeds and raise the FSB without affecting these devices.
