SLI - are you going to do it ?

I don'y know what to make of it just yet, as i have heard you need 2 identical vid cards to run or at least flash them with the same BIOS it's a big off putting from plug n play. I am thinking of a ASUS A8N-SLi rig but not sure which video cards to use? At the moment i am looked to 1280x1204 rez of my LCD but never use FSAA or really AF so not sure if i should get dual ASUS N6600GT TOP cards or not?
