For 140mm fans, the Phanteks PH-F140HP fans look pretty good, and are about £10 each on Scan.

Noctua's new REDUX range? Same fans, only with a greyer colour, and none of the extras like the rubber anti-vibration pads, case mounting plugs, or splitter, or rpm/voltage limitation cables.

    Re: Noctua Fan Alternatives

Can't believe no one has mentioned Thermalright fans. I use 4 TY 140's in my rig, 2 in push pull on the Archon CPU cooler and 2 on my accelero xtreme'd R9 290 (stock shroud removed, obviously).
Going to be grabbing a couple more soon too as they make great case fans (much better than my Fractal ones) as well as in the above application's where high static pressure is required. ~£6 each at Scan (these are the TY 147, same quality and performance but in black/white.)

Can vouch for Noctua redux line, just recently received a couple of Noctua NF-P14s redux-1200 PWM, cannot fault them.

Is that not why they're cheaper than normal beige Noctuas?
I thought that was the selling point?

And not being the colour of excrement. I run 10 Noctuas in my desktop and 4 in my ITX server but they’re all hidden. The only non-Noctua I have is the original Corsair 140mm exhaust on the back of the case since it’s visible and always runs at 100% anyway (by choice).

I actually ended up using the LN filters in my ITX since the PWM control on the Asus Z87 is garbage.

If your 'leavings' are THAT colour, you have problems.... with probably a serious fudge or caramel addiction as well. Trust me - I work in the sewerage industry!!

Dammitt... I only have 5... for now, anyway! The other 4 were pretty much free though and have found their place.
However, I run display LED decorations, without any accent/area lighting so you really only see the Nocs in the daytime anyway.
