Pentium K edition and Z87

Hi,

I'm thinking of getting the Pentium K edition and an MSI Z87i AC ITX board to go with it. Would the Pentium work on Z87 out of the box or would I have to update the bios? Any help is appreciated!

It will most likely need a bios update unless it's a recent board from the factory. MSI is the last manufacturer I would go with after seeing all the bios flashes fail and brick the board over at OCUK forums. MSI's support forum is full of failed bios flashes bricking the board. Why they can't do a decent bios flashing tool these days is beyond me. Why Z87 though? Z97 may support it out of the box.
