Unfortunately in need of an update, is pretty pointless as a sticky in its current state.
Anyone willing to assist in updating it? I can put something into it, but will need help from others...

A shame, but this kind of thing happens all the time.

Re: Building A Gaming Rig - A Living Document. (A HEXUS Project)

This is my first post on this forum.

Would be interesting to see if this could be revived. I'd love to know the opinions on the best gaming pc to build. I'm likely to be building one in the summer so would love a debate what would be a consensus to buy.

People now have the option in buying a Full Atx Tower Antec Twelve Hundred. 2 Websites informed me that they are now released at all major retailers 2 days ago.

Well the Zalman reserator is going strong. I don't think there's been a single occasion where the temperature rose above 41deg on the old FX53. Playing Clear Skies just fine although the X800 is just starting to show its age (no chance of an upgrade either - bloomin' AGP!).

If people are looking for best Gaming PC set-ups then they might want to head over to Extremetech to check out the build guides they have on there. They update them every year pretty and compare the new build to last years model which is always interesting to see.

Or just ask, as they invariably do anyway

Those are pretty out of date now, For the price of the sonata III most people will opt for the Antec 300 + corsair 450/550VX or equivalent for a gaming build.
