AMD price drop due?

Does anyone know for sure that there is an AMD price drop due in Febuary?

I have finally tracked down a couple stores that have the CPU I'm after, but it's worth waiting a couple more weeks if I'm gonna save myself a fair bit in a price cut..

There are always price cuts round the corner, if we all waited for them then we'd probably never buy anything as it'd always be cheaper in a few weeks or soemthing new would of come out....

Point taken, but still, two or three weeks is a reasonable time to wait.. Just thought I'd check.. Has anyone heard anything?

wouldnt have thought there would be. The next AMDs chips due are Semprons, so prices on A64s will stay pretty level.
The next desktop processor on AMD's roadmap is the 3700+ on 939, but thats not due until Q2.
I wouldnt expect any major bargain basementery until the Dual Core chips arrive on the scene.

According to the Inquirer it's due on Feb 14th. I would wait, you never know what'll happen....
