    SK43G - 131
    1xNIC - 8
    512Mb PC3200 - 45
    AOpen COM5232G 52x/32x/52x/16x CD-RW/DVD Combo Drive - 25
    Hitachi 80Gb IDE HDD - 36

    = £245 + CPU

not sure if this takes a Sempron, but if it does, the cheapest Semprons are around £34, which will make the grand total as £279.

    How about a mini-ITX computer?

Smaller than Shuttles etc, they're relatively cheap, run very cool, so noisy fans not needed - some of them are even fanless!

Onboard Video, sound, LAN (Two on CL / PD boards), CPU included in price, all other connections standard.

They'll run all your office apps, downloading, DVDs , DivX/XviD (the 1GHz+ ones), older games.

Here's a good place to start
