Graphics card, which to buy? Please help, Thanks

    Hi all,

Could you please advise on which graphics card to buy from the ones below:

    R9 380 £124 Flubit
    RX 470 reference £165
    RX 480 Sapphire Nitro+ £210 ish I think

Sticking to AMD as I will be getting a freesync monitor.

I want to game at 1080/60fps at fairly good settings. Not massively fussed with playing the latest and greatest titles, have a fair few older titles to get through like GTA 4,5 etc.

    Thanks!

How long do you want it to last? 480 for 2-3 years, 470 for now and past titles, that's my suggestion.

You may find better value with a 390 second hand, if you're prepared to take the risk on a failure outside of warranty.

Hmm, I guess a few years would be ideal, but not resigned to upgrading later.

Any idea some manufacturers would provide warranty support to the 2nd owner for the 390. I've heard about it on the Rx 480. Thanks

Sapphire do a RX 470 OC with a better cooler than stock for £180.

It performs almost identically to a 480.

Cheers guys, i've seen a PowerColor RX 480 8GB on Ebuyer for £216 so prob go for that. Should be future-proofed for a while then.

For £216 the RX 480 8GB makes sense.
