    HyperX Cloud poor driver durability

Over the years, I've bought and sold many pairs of gaming headsets, forever in search of the balance between good sound and comfort. I thought I had found them with the HyperX Clouds, but when the left driver went, they had to go back to Amazon. They were replaced, and I continued gaming. A few months down the road, the left driver went again. It became incredibly distorted with any bass. Not so noticeable with gaming, but with music, very much so. They went back and weren't replaced. I recently bough the cloud 2, and the same thing has happened. I'm on my second pair and both drivers have become very distorted at medium listening volumes (around 24-30 on windows with the included soundcard). I've tried without the soundcard and have the same issue.

Has anyone else had the same/similar problems?

I remember hearing that the cables connecting to the actual speakers were actually a potential point of failure from some reviewer. Trying fiddling around with it to see if it changes.
