I'm thinking of relacing the USB port bay on the top of the CM WaveMaster case, with an 80mm exhaust fan. Having not bought the case yet, can anyone confirm the following:

Can the flappy popup door be permanately removed without killing hinges etc etc, and is there any grill arrangement to stop fingers getting battered?
