Have you got the latest graphics drivers ready to install? (latest seem to be 2016..)
    https://www2.ati.com/drivers/beta/no....2.1-sep20.exe

Also Have you used DDU to uninstall your old AMD drivers
    https://www.guru3d.com/files-details...-download.html

And also is WOW on the SSD? also do you have a lot of utility's running in the background?

Maybe your internet may effect it too?

Just a thought, have you checked CPU/GPU utilisation graphs while you're playing? They're not a sure way of telling where the problem lies but it can be a start e.g. if GPU utilisation is usually low then hits 100% during a raid you have some idea. Same with CPU but you'd have to check core loading rather than CPU total.

I've no idea how demanding WoW is so I wouldn't know whether CPU/GPU is likely in your case off the top of my head.

Thats a good idea there, might help satsuma get to the bottom of the problem..

It is pretty demanding, but hammers CPU GPU and also when raiding requires a decent network connection.

When I was playing the last expansion an R7 360 was struggling and I wouldn't want to raid with it. I think that is faster than what the OP has. Minimum requirements is a 2GB 7850, recommended an R9 280. My son plays it OK with an R9 285 2GB.

    Re: Is my pc overheating?

I ordered a rx 580 but if there's not much improvement i'm thinking about upgrading cpu/ram/mobo, trying to save a little money and thinking about using the current CPU cooling - would buying this give me the brackets i need for current cpu sockets?

    Re: Is my pc overheating?

As far as I know the cooler brackets for Intel CPUs have been the same since Sandy Bridge (so 2000 series). Someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. I'd see how you get on with the GPU first though.
