the razor is the most uncomfortable according to reviews. as for mouepads, my £2 ebuyer black 'egg' one is doing me just fine, with the wrist wrest!
you do not know what you are missing, basically if you want a quality mouse cheap > mx500, if you want to add a bit of colour and style > mx510 if you want expense or wireless mx1000 and if you want one for gamins > razor!

Had a mx 1000 for a week now. Best mouse ever. Buy one.
Got the Razer now, pretty sweetTried an MX 1000 but Razer performs better when gaming.. plus it's really not that hard to get used to (the shape) pretty sweet.
mx1000 is excellent, best mouse i have ever owned.
Mx510 for corded
MX700 for cordless
both are good and cheap now
if you want to splash out get razor's diamond back!
Ok so they sent me 2 razer diamondbacksso now I have one to get rid of, it's the magma edition with the lan pack, brand new in retail box and for incentive I'll throw in some brand new games, commandos 3, x2 the threat, moto gp2 and counter stirke 1.6 (steam enabled) If anyone want's it just drop me a pm

Get the Diamondback and it's specially made mousemat. That's what I have, and you can't go wrong. It pays to get a decent mousemat too.

DeludedGuy - that's what I used to use, excellent mouse and can be had for less than £15.
Bought MX1000 and haven't looked back though - super tracking. Right handed only is the only downside.
