Advice on Building new PC.....

Right,

I've just attempted for the first time to build a new PC and decided to go with Intel. I'm not a hardcore gamer so I wasn't too worried about not buying AMD. So I've bought...

Asus P5AD2-E Motherboard
Intel P4 3.6Ghz 660 Processor
Zalman ALCU7700 Heatsink
2GB (4 x 512mb) Corsair XMS2-Pro DDR2 675mhz
2 x 200gb Seagate Barracuda 7200 SATA hard drives
2 x 73gb Seagate Cheetah U320 15K 68 pin hard drives
Adaptec 29320R SCSI card
Sapphire ATI X850 XT PE PCI-E Graphics card
Thermaltake 680W Purepower Power Supply
Sony DW22A DVD Writer
Antec P160 Tower case
Altec Lansing FX6021 2.1 Speaker System

I've put it altogether correctly I think, and when I've powered it on, the motherboard and fans are working, LED's on memory too, but no image on
my TFT monitor whatsoever, no BIOS, nothing. I've swapped the memory round thinking that might be the problem, gbut seem to have drawn a blank.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated - it's quite frustrating....

Oh, and anything else I can do to improve my setup (when it is running!) ?

Check your graphics card is seated correctly, and that you have plugged the molexes into it (via the adaptor if its anything like my 6800GT).

Not a hardcore gamer and you have a x850xt PE!! sorry i can't offer up much help apart from checking everything is seated andplugged in properly.
