Help, looking for best small media PC or small ATX case for living room AV setup.

Hi All

So im looking for recommendations for the best small media PC to buy for living room setup. I use to have a Shuttle PC which was perfect size and did a great job but after 3rd one i have lost confidence in there build quality aka the non standard PSU's they use as replaced them 3 times in several different models over the years and they have all blown.

So after that i then just bought a ATX PC Tower with a normal PSU and its has never had a problem but does stick out like a saw thumb between my TV unit and speaker.

So looking to see what everyone else is using for their home AV setup. I am currently looking at buying a smaller mini case that will fit the current ATX board but still be small enough to fit inside one of the shelves within my TV unit (I say TV unit but looking to build my own custom one so dont need to say the sizes of shelfs as i will make it fit but still would like it to be small)

The other option i am looking into is buying a small NUC that will still have windows 10 on and needs to be able to do 4k.

I will be using it to stream 4k video over the LAN, HDD, and surfing the net so does not to be that powerful as not using it to play games to save money.

You could just stick it all on a piece of MDF then scale a nice bit of wood and cover where the PC is. Id even be happy to do some cad for you to see what it'd look like if you happen to give some measurements.

Thanks alot "PC-LAD" for the offer and the idea but im not looking to be that fancy/custom built like some of the pro enthusiasts i've seen on this forum, would like it to be removable/mobile and protected in a case really.

This will fit full ATX MOBO and PSU. So could rip out all the parts and transplant it over to this smaller case.
