Works for me. As I said, I'm not only not doing it for money, but emphatically don't want to earn money from it. If it were to start earning (most unlikely), I stop doing it. Also, I don't care how many views it gets, including if it gets zero (likely, I'd think). That's not what this is about.

If going full monk on us the first stage is to buy a new GPU from ebay/any of the overpriced etailers. They'll do the scalping as part of the process.

Due to the stupid prices of GPUs now I do think a Core i7 10700 or Core i7 10700K makes sense especially with the price drops, and the fact they have an IGP.

I wish I'd kept that 2nd GPU at £700 now too instead of cancelling the order. OCuk are flogging them for £900. Other sites £750+. It's ridiculous. Anyway that is for the gpu threads. Not much help to Saracen. sound recording wants quiet cards. It's why i still use my whisper quiet gtx460 in my sound recording machine.

I ought to be getting a discount then, not getting scalped, because nature started me on a tonsorial scalping headstart years ago. It hasn't finished the job yet but it's well underway.

I've never quite forgiven my dear old mum (God rest her soul) for opining that I must have worn my hair reserves out by keeping it that long in my late teens and early 20's .... before the nature of chartered accountancy training necessitated a trip to the barber. Still, it saved me tucking it into my belt.

An Intel CPU generally was better for audio work until Zen3 came out(Zen2 was competitive but audio stuff is latency dependent it appears). AMD not having its Zen2 or Zen3 APUs for desktop being easily available does not help.

    OTH,I suppose a Zen3 CPU with a GT1030 would suffice too.

Photoshop (if you are using it), is relatively singlethreaded still - it does scale a bit with cores but not as much as youd expect.
