    Webcam suggestions?

Is it just me or are webcams expensive?

I'm looking to pick one for WFH purposes but not looking to go mad. It seems every article with the 'best' ones on all aim for products in the £70-100 range which seems crazy to me as even then they're fairly standard 1080p30 efforts.

Can anyone recommend anything sub £50 they use, Windows Hello would be a bonus but mainly low-light compensation.

Also don't need a microphone as I use a 10 year old Yeti which has proved insane value!
Kalniel: "Nice review Tarinder - would it be possible to get a picture of the case when the components are installed (with the side off obviously)?"
CAT-THE-FIFTH: "The Antec 300 is a case which has an understated and clean appearance which many people like. Not everyone is into e-peen looking computers which look like a cross between the imagination of a hyperactive 10 year old and a Frog."
TKPeters: "Off to AVForum better Deal - £20+Vat for Free Shipping @ Scan"
for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.

Never used to be but with more people using Teams etc and working from home prices have shot up and definitely in the second hand market. I sold a ten year old Logitech webcam for £25 the other day, before it would be worth a fiver

    Re: Webcam suggestions?

Have you checked DroidCAM for Android phones? Works really well, bit more fiddly that a dedicated webcam, but it will likely give a better picture quality and it's only £5 for the app and £10 for a phone stand.

I use a very basic Microsoft VX5000 from years ago, which has sufficed for basic duties. But you might want to look at the Logitech C920 / C922 which is the baseline for a half decent webcam expereince. You might get one for under £50 on Ebay.

Just found this on HotUKDeals: (note it doesn't have a microphone)
