Hi All,
I've got a brother laser printer and it's been printing pink streaks on pages for ages. Anyone have any ideas if it's toast, or a simple fix? Model is a Brother MFC-9330CDW.

Is it a colour? If so have you been using cheap toner?

Fairly common laser printer silliness by the looks of it. I usually fix it by taking out the affected toner cart outside (yours is the magenta, obvs), giving it a really good side-to-side shake and a blast of canned air. Reinstalling, and then printing something colour heavy.
Sometimes I'll have to do the shake thing a few times, at worse it'll need a new toner cart.

Happens to me on cheap toner cartridges, seems a mixed bag of what is required to fix them from shaking to doing a rain dance around them

Reman cartridge that..
I dont see why they don't stamp them in some way so the guys refilling it know how many times its been done, then after a certain nu,ber of refills or whatever they get binned

I don't know that particular printer, but bear in mind there are two basic designs of laser - ones where the toner cartridge is essentially the only user-replaceable part, and ones where there are several "consumables", which 'wear out' at different intervals. That might be some bits (toner) at 3000 pages, some bits at 15,000 pages and one ot two more at 100,000 pages (or more).
If yours is one of the latter type, then depending on usage, the probem might be one of those other 'consumables'.

Some cartridge reman companies will warranty their carts so if they do end up buggering your printer up then they'll cover replacement, might be something to look into.

The ones I buy have warranty but only for the cartridges. I think buggering up your printer warranties will be like the Belkin million pound cover thing, good luck trying to prove it type of thing.

I tend to run proper carts while a printer is in warranty, but once that's done I don't mind using remans, I'll find out the name of the ones I used previously as the supplier said that they would cover the printer.

Ok, so just spoke to my guy, reman toners are done by a company called Footprint.
