Mine was a B450 Tomahawk II Max with Adata 3200 ram. Was getting memory errors in Windows like twice a week but it at least booted. A 3 day memtest returned fine, back into Windows and same issues. With XMP off I never had any problems. However can only write from my own experiences.

Changed to Asus now same ram with XMP on and haven't had an issue since.

Technically, Intel considers XMP to be a form of overclocking, despite it being their own creation. There was a bit of an outcry a while ago, because if you were trying to RMA an Intel cpu & you admitted that you'd been using XMP, Intel refused to honour the warranty. I don't know whether they ever backed-down from that though.

It was a B450 and Ryzen 7 5700G. XMP is a bit of an odd one, when I place the ram in the machine it defaults to 2666Mhz and I need or rather use XMP to bring it up to its rated speed. Though I used to see on the B450 board I had that ram was listed as 3200(OC). But on the B550 I have now its just listed as 3200 with higher speeds now saying (OC) next to them

I had some Adata RAM in a Gigabyte G1.Sniper M5 board that would not play ball with XMP.
However, that was in Haswell days so quite some time ago. I didn't persue it far enough as I was happy with the performance without XMP at the time

I have found the ram quite stable in several builds now bar one (looking at you MSI). It's the XPG line
