How to get Ram from 2-3-5-2 to 2-2-5-2 in new rig

I have corsair xms 3200 tccd platinum which is 2-2-5-2

I have it in a DFI ultra D along with a 4000 San Diego

when I fist built this I coudnt get it to boot using dual channel with 2 sticks so I flashed the bios and set the voltage to standard at 2.6 V and now it boots and seems stable.

I want to get the maximum out of this but I'm totally green when it comes to RAM and bios, I don't mind helping myself so does anyone know and good links where I can understand the bios settings and how this all works?

    cheers

i'm assuming its the same as an sli-d, what slots you using for the ram? (should be 2 & 4 I believe - will double check) and the bios should pick up the approx settings correctly by default.

the settings you need are in genie bios, dram configuration tho, i don't have links to web walkthroughs for this offhand unfortunately :/

also try each stick individually, in slot 2, see whether they boot, or not - i had similar prob, highlighted with the lanparty board, and one chip was totally burgered

yep pretty much same as sli

Ram is in 2 and 4 for dual channel but it didnt detect, i did boot fine with 512 but a big no no when I tried both sticks.

I ran the memtest and that was fine for both sticks.

thing is its taken me ages to get it like this and I'm worried to play around with it in case I mess it all up again and have to go back to square one.

i dont know enough about dram config to do anything with any know how sadly
