    Desktop keyboard required for laptop

    Hi.

I need some advice on choosing a desktop keyboard for a new HP (not my choice!) laptop. It needs to be USB as it has no PS/2 ports. I've found the following product but am unsure:

    www.ebuyer.com [UK site]
    Quickfind: 81986

It looks nifty and good value but its purpose is to be larger than the inbuilt laptop keyboard. Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

Looks like an ok keyboard, I personally use a laptop sized keyboard for my PC, all my friends hate using but I think it's great and prefer it to a standard sized one. I originally bought it so it would fit in my Shuttle transport bag.
It feels like a laptop keyboard but is a lot easier to use as it is separate.

One of my users has an UltraX and it's extremely nice. It's meant to be as slim and flat as possible, and the keys are more like laptop keys; they have quite limited travel, but in terms of layout, the keyboard's the same size as any ordinary desktop keyboard (barring, as I say, depth).

I have a Benq Xtouch Quick Find: 75723
Its a halfway house, the keys are taller than a laptop, but shorter than standard. It has been working fine for quite a while. A bit cheaper than the Logitech, but I like Logitechs too I use them exclusively at work. So at home I tend to use different hardware and in a different config (right handed vs left) to reduce RSI. It gets my vote, their mice are no match for Logitech's though (then again I haven't met a mouse by another manufacturer that has).
