Hope someone can help.

Received all the components to build my new system yesterday - got excited as you do.

Built the system and had real trouble to start with even getting it to post. Anyway, got it going eventually having reset the CMOS jumper. Installed WinXP and started installing software, etc...

Had to go out and when I came back - same problem. Won't even post on the power button. Reset the CMOS and reseated the CMOS battery as recommended on some other forums - nothing!!!

Full spec is:

MSI 875P Neo-FISR v2
Intel P4 3GB HT Socket 478 Processor (Prescott core)
Corsair TwinX1024 DDR RAM
Gigabyte Radeon 9550 graphics
120GB SATA RAID 1
DVD ROM + DVD Re-writer + all the standard bits 'n' pieces

I've checked the PSU in another PC - a test bed system that I use which is fine.

Having read around on this it seems this board has a real problem with the CMOS jumper and post. Anyone else experienced this and found a reliable solution?

If not, I guess it's back to Scan to get a replacement board. If I have to get a replacement, what does everyone reckon to the Asus P4C800-E Deluxe.

Thanks

Dominic
