i'm selling one of my old pc's to a friend, but i'm not sure what a reasonable price is. i posted here rather than for sale forum 'cos it's not going to be available to you hexites, but feel free to move the thread there if that's where it belongs. the pc spec is :-

Pentium 3 800EB
Asus CUSL2-C motherboard
GeForce2 Pro 64Mb graphics card
Creative soundblaster live! sound card
256Mb Crucial memory
40Gb Hard drive
Keyboard and mouse
PSU and case
Floppy drive
17" Philips CRT monitor

it doesn't come with a CD drive or any software, but i'll sort those out for her seperately.

so hopefully you can give me what a fair price on it would be please. thanks in advance

£250 all day long......good PC for that dough. Play 1 year old games at 640x480 or 800x600 no worries.

A fresh install and that will do loads of peoples job for them. Cool and quiet too I should think...

i used to have a k62 350, that played averythin in 1024x768 fine.. (xept cs!)

I came to spot on £210 aswell. It does depend a little on how nice/good/clean stuff like the monitor, case, keyboard, and mouse are. £210 is expecting them to all be cheap non descript items.

The figure is harsh, as its the one you would get if you broke it up for individual sale on forums or as a very good figure for sale as a complete item to a shop. If you were going to stick a valid win 98/ME licence on it + maybe some old MS Works software too then you are going to be technically able to get >£300 on it from the general public - so Zaks £250 is valid. However as you are selling it to a "friend" then the £210 would be better

Yep me gets it to around £225 and for that money it's a decent spec machine!!

i dont see why you could sell it for 250 you just have to be will to wait and not rush it.. some one will come along and say they will give you 190 for it NOW but just wait some one will buy it for 250.
