Oh and Kalniel, i happen to have an Iiyama Vision Master Pro510 22" since 1999. Back then i used to play EverQuest and i had it on for 24/7. Then i took it with me where i went to study and now, 2005 my monitor is still running with absolutely not a single blink in 6 years. And the colours are as bright as the 1st day. And during that period, i saw my father's EIZO 19" die and he was using it on the office only with the a/c on at all times. And now if u check the prices on the net, you ll find Iiyama half price than EIZO.
I am a happy Iiyama customer, thats all!
Hehe who are EIZO? I'm still amazingly happy with my dell 17" CRT that came with the system 5 years ago. If I was going to change it it would be to the Iiyama I mentioned. I now work on a nice dell 19" LCD but I still look forward to getting back home to the brightness and colour of the CRT.
Though I have to say I have one bad personal experience with Iiyama - our lab had two of them go, thankfully under warrenty. One of them was mine and it was annoying (had power problems).
Agreed if you are only into games an xbox 360 may be the way to go, but then again some people hate console games I was just building the rig to the specified purpose put forward by Matrix. Again, by the time the xbox comes out over here it'll probably make more sense to go with the X2.. but right now.. not for the purpose. (ask me in 6 months and I'll be argueing for the X2, trust me )
Sorry about lack of discussion on other points. GFX is usally a hot one.. but sadly there really is no other option. The gamer really demands a 7800gt. When ATI's next card comes out we can do better, but as this is a system for now NVidia do hold all the cards. (Again personally I would get a cheaper card, but this card is what's going to make the most difference for the gamer, who is justified in spending above the average in this department.)

be very careful with the hiper psus ive had 2 where the wires arnt crimped properly and the cable has come out saying that they are still a very stable psu
only has 1 pci-e conntector not very helpful for sli setups
braded cables are a plus along with reactive coloured connectors

Yeah thats why I thought go for the Tagan - its SLI ready and rock solid. Tagan make good reliable solidly made PSU's - like Volvo's - not amazing looking but built to last and perform wellOriginally Posted by ifyouknowme

Haha, great analogy kempez815. My other setup has a Tagan PSU powering it and I've run into no faults whatsoever. Top notch stuff.
