Nah just normal ones, I think surround sound headphones cost a lot, not sure though. THe mic seems fine too.

my medusa 5.1 headphones are superb. they may not be the best, but they are fantastic for the price.

the non-usb ones are the best as you get its own amp with pass through connector, so u can still connect your speakers which is pretty cool!

    i got mine for £30
expect to pay around £40, which considering isnt too much for them!

I use GameVoice headphones (not the software though!) but just a cheap headset mic from PC World work just as well. Use them for Skype, Teamspeak, music, general gaming.

Another vote for the MedUSA 5.1 non-USB version, the quality and positioning of the sound far outweighs that of the USB version

As an alternitive, you could use a USB microphone, i picked one up for £15, and i can play games through my 5.1 speakers with no feedback.

The Sennheiser PC150 have received quite good reviews, (alternative is the usb PC155 ones, which is slightly more expensive). Sennheiser have always been a good brand for normale headphones, really good quality. I have had a pair of headphones for years, and they still really good (apart from being a bit old!)

Here is a good review of some: Sennheiser PC150 Review

I have PC150s and they are really good. The sound quality is nice, they're incredibly comfortable, the mic gives clear audio (it's noise cancelling).

I have been thinking about getting these (thats why i thought i mention them), but always a bit nervous about how comfortable they are (as I havent been able to try them on anywhere).

Is it possible to sit with these for several hours without your ears/head "parts" getting sore? I just wonder because i used to have a generic noname headset that did that with me after 1 hour (or so), and got so annoyed in the end that I havent worn them since.

I play a few online games and have been using voicecomms over the net for roughly 7 years with freinds....in that time I have tried MANY different headsets and still have yet to find the holy grail....

Medusa 5.1s - This is what I currently use. I like the sound they give although there are a few issues with them:
    1. The junction box/amp device picks up interference like a b***h. Both my mobile and cordless phone have to be kept well away from it.
    2. They are heavy and can get a little uncomfortable after a while
    3. The mic is very muffled - people have done nothing but complain at me since I started using these

Sennheiser PC150 - If these are the "back band" (i.e. the ones that go round the back of your head) - I had a pair for 2 weeks. Again they sounded great and the mic was good but:
    1. Extremly uncomfortable - hurt my ears in no time
    2. Very fragile. Mine took 1 small knock and never worked again - due to the comfort factor I was almost releived.

Plantronics - These I currently use as my 'back up' headphones/mic. They are all-round good - just not spectatular. They work, they are light and comfy, they last and the mic sounds crystal clear.
If it wasn't for the odd vibrating in the earpeice under conditions of heavy bass I would use these all the time.

I have the Sennheiser PC155 USB and they're excellent

Sound quality and comfort, plus the USB dongle acts as a sound card, it can be seperated though for normal jack input.

They are expensive, but once you use them you find yourself using your speakers less and less

They also have the PC135 and PC145 in USB.

No, these are the Sennheiser PC150 (listed below).. and definately does not look like they go "back of your head"

I have the Sennheiser PC150's as well. I find them very comfortable for long periods of time and the noise cancelling feature makes your voice very clear and works well.

You can get them from Scan.co.uk as well as ebay. I got mine through ebay, the person i got mine from is still selling them. PC150's and PC155's . Very cheap and as described.

EDIT: didn't see that you have already posted link to scan
