Does anyone own both a Logitech LX700 and a MX1000? MX3100 owners also needed...

    Hello,

    Before I start:

    MX1000 Laser Mouse : Info/Picture

MX3100 Wireless keyboard and mouse combo : Info/Picture (Uses the MX1000)

LX700 Wireless keyboard and mouse combo : Info/Picture

Right basically I'm looking for someone who owns both a Logitech MX1000 mouse and a Logitech LX700 wireless desktop combo. If there is anyone out there that has that, does the MX1000 work on the LX700's receiver? Or does the keyboard work on the MX1000's receiver?

Also, does the MX3100 desktop combination use the same keyboard as the LX700? Looks like it to me bar the colour, could use someone's input/experience on that one.

What does it say on the bottom of the keyboard included with the MX3100 combo? Does it say MX3100 or LX700? Maybe MX3000?

Last question: Does anyone who uses a MX1000 and a logitech wireless keyboard find that the MX1000 can use the keyboards receiver? Or the other way around?

    Thanks,

    Mark

I know Im not much help but I can share my experience.

I bought a MX5000 combo with my system which uses bluetooth. I have since sent it back because the technology is basically crap. Any interference results in constantly having to reconnect and sometimes a letter getting stuck and gets repeated on the screen until the signal resets (which can be up to 30 seconds, and u can imagine how many times it gets repeated in that time).

Im waiting for the MX3100 to come out as that uses RF signals.

    Hi,

Well better late than never I guess!

Either way, I purchased the MX3100 back in September and it really was worth the money, nice keyboard and mouse. Logitech’s support really is top notch, I've never dealt with a company so efficient and helpful!

Either way I've had no real problems, only a few problems down to interference. That's really down to what's on my desk (two computers, both using one Logitech wireless products, two TFT's, modem, router, speakers etc etc), it's pretty crowded so it's just getting the positioning of the receiver units right.

    Thanks for your reply!

    Best Regards,

    Mark
