    Question Aopen MZ855-II Overclocking

I got one of the above last week, blinding little machine

I've been ramping my little Dothan 735 and can get better super pi scores than my 3.0Ghz Northwood clocked at 3.9Ghz so im well happy

then only problem i've got is even with the AGP & PCI clocks locked the onboard audio "dissapers" even with the mildest overclock!!!

Any one got expierience with one of these???

It's an intel 855 chipset as the name suggests

Same here, my audio dissapears, so I've gone to a Soundblaster PCI card. (mine's the bigger version of yours i think)

I've got a 1.8ghz P-M (2mb) and can get it up to 2.2ghz, but my AGP gfx card seems to have problems at that speed ? (don't know why because the AGP should be locked)...

whats the highest speed you can get the chip to?

i've got a spare half height SB PCI card you can buy off me if you want?

The PCI/AGP bus needs to be locked in the BIOS - otherwise it'll try to rise with you OC

they are locked on mine yet I still get problems with the GFX and onboard sound when overclocking - possibly the locks aren't working properly?

I found the AGP/PCI lock in the BIOS is'nt a lock it's ratio!!!

So if your using something like ClockGen in windows your AGP & PCI speeds will increase!!!

Best thing i find is to set the processor speed fairly high in the BIOS (150x15 in my case) then boot into windows and use clockgen to tweek it from there

I'm also running the v1.3 BIOS not the latest 1.3A BETA

i've managed to run a 168 x14 (2350MHz), the sound and USB dont like working on any overclock!!!

I'm running an AGP graphics card, so i dont tend to get any graphics probs now i did have probs when running the on board graphics

Hopefully if aopen are nice theyll release a more overclocker freindly BIOS
