Best place to get an ipod from?

My MD player packed up today so I thought it's about time to upgrade to a portable MP3 player, although I do prefer MPC tp MP3 there are no portable MPC player around at the moment.

How many versions of the ipod are there? and which is the cheapest? I was looking at spending around £200, can I get one for this?

Any links for places that sell the ipod would be good, thanks.

Also, keep your eye on forums with wtd/fs - maybe even make a post advertising your interest. I've seen a fair few hdd based mp3 players exchange hands on forums.

If you are a student I'd buy off the apple website as you get a pretty juicy discount! If you aren't find one that is willing to buy it for you!

How much discount to students get at the Apple store? I had a look in the FAQ and could not see anything mentioned.

or you can get a refurb one from apple, only available on a wednesday morning tho. Just go throught the link on the normal store.

Refurb shop opens in 5 minutes Will have a look in there first. I can't justify spening £300 on a MP3 player, that's all it will get uesd for, and I only really use it for 1-2 hours at a time when I am at the gym anyhow.

Can anyone recommend any SS MP3 players?
