Pentium 4 s478 533mhz fsb compatible with Pentium 4 s478 400mhz mobo?

I have just been given a Compaq D510 without the Pentium processor and I was wondering if I could get a 533mhz Pent 4 and stick it in, even though from the specs ive seen online it appeared to have originally came with a 400mhz fsb Pent 4. I was wondering if they are backwards compat, such as PC3200 ram being able to run at PC2700 speeds.
