What to do with an Acorn?

Matt1eD and I recently acquired two Acorn A7000+'s, stripped down to a network thin client. (RISC OS 3.7) Original plan was to stick in an HDD and CD Drive, to install ARM Debian on it. However our attempts have been foiled by a) denied access to boot config in the console (said it was protected), and b) HDD not recognised at all.

Anyway, has anyone got any ideas as to how to either:

Make progress with our project or

Do something else worthwhile with it.

Two ITX otherboards with Via CPu's.

Spray them nice and they'd make great HTPC's

Blimey.. Acorns. I've still got 3 RISC PC 600's kicking around at home somewhere. One of them complete with the original DX2-66 co-processor.. Mmmm... Nostalgia.

However, I can't think of anything more interesting for you to do with your A7000 - sorry...
