Zalman Compatability

Hey there modders,
I'm a bit of a n00b, so bear with me...
I'm thinking of buying a Zalman VF700 to cool my graphics card (the stock cooler is loud as hell) but I read that it is incompatible with a Geforce 6600GT PCI-E (which is what i'm using). The zalman website says ' The HSI heatsink must be used together with the cooler. If the original heatsink integrates the HSI heatsink into one, then you cannot use VF700 on the card' - which I don't quite get. Has anyone tried this combo or got any alternatives for quiet coolers?
