Hi - I'm looking at spending around £1000 for a new system. I've seen one with AMD 64 4200, 2GB ram and a 7800gtx for £1300. I can get the same system with a 64 4200 but with 1GB ram and a 7800gt for £1100. Can anyone tell me if the extra £200 is worth it please? Thanks for you help!
What do you plan on using the PC for... and do you need everything (TFT, speakers, Windows XP etc.) within that £1000?

Are u talking prebuilt systems? and 2GB really helps in almost all areas.. programs tends to be more responsive, load times shrink, VM get less accessed...
Games like BF2 loads LOAD faster.. and FEAR feels more scary as u wont have to get annoyed over the sudden freezes u get everytime new parts of the map loads.
Me want Ultrabook
1gb of ram won't cost £200 so if you are happy to upgrade it yourself there it is not worth it
I've already got tft etc, so the £1000 is just for the base unit. I'm planning on using it mainly for games. I've seen these systems you can configure online at pcspecialist.co.uk. Do you think the 7800gtx & 2gb ram would last me for longer?
