Question Crucial Ballistix 2Gb Kit - compatibility with Asus A8n-SLI?

Crucial Ballistix 2Gb Kit, I'm tempted to buy this, but is it compatibile with the Asus A8n-SLI? (not the deluxe or premium - the bog-standard)

    link to RAM here:
    http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatal...stix_Kits.html

When I put that mobo into the Crucual website, it doesn't guarentee compatibility with Ballistix.

Anyone got any experience of using this RAM with this mobo?

There's no reason why it shouldn't work with your motherboard. The 'PC4000' isn't a 'standard' as such, more of a rating of its maximum recommended frequency, which only really facilitates higher overclocking of your system.

I'd not buy Ballistix with this board based on my experiences, but that's not with this particular RAM.

Well I run 2x 512mb sticks of their pc3200 ram with the premium and that works fine. I havent't tried overclocking my new setup yet so if you're asking if it would work I would say yes. If you're asking if it would be a good overclocking memory then I have no idea but the tight timings work as advertised.

You are aware that this stuff, has the inclination to pop its cloggs on a regular basis?
