    b0rked motherboard?

    I got a MSI KT600 delta FIS2R as a replacement for a broken nf7-s.

This mobo has been acting strangely, roughly 50% of the time I boot up, my 80gb maxtor isnt detected, neither in bios nor in booting up.

I restart, and it will ALWAYS detect and boot off it, without opening up the case.

Also, about every 2 hours I get a LAN cable disconnected error message in XP, and after about 3 seconds it's connected again, on IRC my lag starts building up, but I dont actually disconnect.

    B0rked motherboard or something else?

Have you tried it out of the case?

Oh, and it's running 5 case fans, TT volcano 11 and an enermax PSU with the intake fan pointing into the case.

I had a similar prob and turns out my PSU was not up to it (either not enough power or not stable enough)

Also had a similar pob on an Abit which turned out to be a slightly out of tune voltage regulator. Cure was to up the CPU voltage by 50mv.

    Good luck

Is it in a RAID array?

Consult the MSI forums, they (shockingly) know too much about this board
    AMD Athlon XP 2400+ | Connect3D Radeon 9600PRO | Seagate Barrcuda 80GB HDD | 512mb PC2700 Crucial RAM | MSI KT6 Delta FIS2R | Zorro Silver Case | Windows XP/Gentoo Linux

my PSU is a 460w enermax.

It's not part of a raid array, is connected to IDE 0
