    Price check: GF4 Ti4200-8x 128MB

A friend of mine is selling his 3 month old Soltek GeForce 4 Ti4200-8X, AGP8X, 128Mb DDR, DVI and VIVO (Link). The question is, how much can he expect to get for it? Also, how does it compare to the likes of the Radeons (Austin?)?

    Thanks

Well £50-60 is about right, if you can still find them you can pick them up for £70-90 new. 4200 are very good at stock and often exceed 4400 speeds when o/c'ed. In raw 3D power the 4200 (stock) is roughly equal to the Rad9600PRO but of course the Radeon has DX9 and awesome AA+AF. Even so DX8 is not going to hurt you for a good while yet and GF4TI can do 2xAA+4xAF in most games. In terms of how they fair with nVidia's FX, the 4200 is often better than even the FX5600ultra so it's probably clear why the 4200 supply (presumably from nVidia) is drying up.
