Is there a website that I can send a relative newb to which will tell them whats in their PC, and either let them copy and paste the results into an email, or let them enter my email address and get them sent straight to me?

Sandra and Aida type sw may gove too much info and be very daunting to newbs. 3Dmark03 can report system info quite well. I'm not sure if there's something more ideal but you may have to use one of those programs and simply teach/show them how to highlight info and then use COPY (CTRL+C) and PASTE (SHIFT+INSERT) into notepad/email. Perhaps you could email them with screen shots to help them grasp the location of the important details.

belarc advisor is pretty good - does involve installing something but its really easy to do

basically you can send them the link to the downlad page, http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html theres a big "download now" button, all they gotta do then is click the "open" button & it'll install itself & produces a single page indicating whats in the case

i've had ppl in work do it & bring in the results before i advise on what can be done with their old b0rked systems!
