u320 drives with u160 serveraid card

Ok, heres my question, i bought an IBM x330 server, it comes with an IBM Serverraid 4LX Raid Controller Card PN 24P2591, which i believe is for u160 SCSI cards, it came with 2 x 9GB u160 SCSI drives, but i want to swap them out with 2 x 36GB drives i have, the problem being they are u320... and i dunno if it will work, i would have just stuck it in but the xserver caddy its in says "for use only in ultra 320 systems" also the server didnt come with a C2T breakout cable so im gonna have to buy one of those so i can connect a monitor, keyboard and mouse to it.

There's no reason why U320 disks shouldn't be backwards compatiable with a U160 controller.

Well, U320 drives are backwards compatible, and I've run U320 drives off a U160 controller and vice versa; the only thing to be careful of is whether they're 68-pin or 80-pin connectors.

Excellent, thanks both, thats put my mind at rest, lol, as for the pins, thats not a problem, they are both SCA2 and they are both in ibm xserver caddies, plus ive already tried putting them in and they fit
