    Sounds like the current GPU physics implementation uses the standard graphics driver.

    If this is successful though, you can bet Microsoft will extend the API to specifically include it though.

    I'm of the understanding that Nvidia has paired-up with a third-party PPU software developer, and so has ATI. I presume that third-party PPU software is either loaded onto the graphics card, or is incorporated into a new GPU driver, or both. If the GPU physics implementation simply uses the standard graphics driver, then: (1) I'd be surprised, since the two functions (physics & graphics) seem so different that an efficient simultaneous implementation of both would be unlikely. And (2) There would be no need for the alleged third-party PPU software developers -- game developers would simply use the standard graphics driver. Perhaps I'm missing something here?
