Anyone used this block :

Alphacool NexXxoS ATI X1800XL/XT/XT PE Graphics Card Cooler ???????



I have an existing AsuTek Waterchill system processor only (not antarctic) I want to know firstly on a single rad system will it be ok to cool the graphics card and also is the aforementioned block compatible with my current system.............

Or any other recommendations???

Graphics card is a X1800XT256 which I plan to do a mild overclock on, Processor is an Athlon Venice 3200 at stock speed.

whats a single rad? 1x80 3x120? it'll make a difference. What kind of pump is it? (l/hr head)

depends on how much your gonna overclock the card by mate - ive got water cooling at the moment, but i really couldnt be fussed to do my graphics card - i got a nice arctic cooler on there, much quieter than the stock fan

Its a 1 x 120mm radiator and the standard Asutek pump which is 700L per hour I think,

I must admit it would be easier to air cool it and ive seen two fans the zalman900 and the arctic cooling x2 I think, but I do fancy getting as much power - safely out of my card to frame pump my Dell 24" Widescreen - I just don't wanna fry my nice 1800

1x120 is not quite enough, and believe you wont get high enough temp to fry your card on the zalman or the artic cooling, unless you seriously volt-modded it.

id second the 1x120 not being big enough for cpu + gpu, and also, what the hell? everythings all green and abit themed
